Webster County Schools is excited to welcome incoming Kindergarten students and their families to this year’s Kindergarten Move-Up Day, scheduled for Thursday, May 21,
at Glade Elementary and Webster Springs Elementary.
This special event gives children the opportunity to visit their future classroom, meet staff, and begin building comfort and excitement for the transition to Kindergarten. Families will also have the chance to participate in a Kindergarten Readiness Workshop, where they will receive helpful information, resources, and take-home literacy and numeracy materials to support learning at home.
Move-Up Day is designed for students currently enrolled in Pre-K, as well as children who did not attend a Pre-K program this year. A registration link is now available for families who need to sign up, with a detailed schedule of events to be shared soon.
Families are encouraged to attend and take advantage of this important step in preparing for a successful start to Kindergarten. Students currently attending a Webster County PreK program do not need to register; however, anyone not currently attending a Webster County PreK who plans to attend Kindergarten should complete the online registration form by clicking the link or scanning the QR code.
